海外放浪してきた友人の土産写真。

雪国だから縦型かと思ったが、ヨーロッパってどこも縦型だから、「横型だと雪の重みで折れるから」とか特に考えてないのかもしれない。
信号機だけ見ると地味で目立たないが、一面の雪景色では黄色とかより黒のがかえって目立つのかもしれない。

　
My friend WRN, who travelled around Europe, took this photo.

I thought lights are vertical because there is much snow in Finland, but on second thought most European countries have vertical lights regardless of amount of snow.
This black light does not eye-catching but it may look good in snow...

これはフィンランドの別の街で撮ったもの。串刺しになっていて団子を思わせる。
車用と歩行者用が垂直に取り付けられているから、撮影した道は歩行者専用だったのだろうか？

This photo was taken in a different city than the one in the above.

The long pole with lights reminds me of kebab. yummy.

Considering that the lights for cars and those for pedestrians in different directions, my friend might be standing on the road only for pedestrians.
