インドで芝居を上演してきた友人の写真。「シュリープラカーシュ・モータルトレーニングスクール」という名前の教習所で撮ったそうです。

標識の下の文字は、左から

UNGUARDED L.CROSSING
PARKING THIS SIDE
GUARDED LEVEL CROSSING
RED & AMBER SIGN
GREEN SIGN

右(下)の写真は、左(上)の写真の看板の下にあった絵。手旗信号か何かのようだがさっぱり分からない。一番右のなんて手をバタバタさせているようだが、SOSか何かだろうか??

My friend YHM, who performed a play in Hindi/Urdu around India. (Surprisingly, she's Japanese.)
She took these pictures at a driving school named 'Shree Prakash Motor Training School'.

The signs in the first pictures are: (from left to right)

UNGUARDED L.CROSSING
PARKING THIS SIDE
GUARDED LEVEL CROSSING
RED & AMBER SIGN
GREEN SIGN

The drawing in the second photograph is under the sign in the first pic.
It seems like hand flags to me.
Why is the man in the left waving his hands? SOS!?

教習所の写真をもう1枚。こちらは看板だらけだ。
オリジナルの大きな写真はこちら(31KB)

文字は左上から

1段目: FLAMMABLE GAS / EXPLOSIVE / GIVE WAY / STOP / CORROSIVES / HARMFUL
2段目: SPEED BRAKER / RESTRICTION END SIGN / GAP IN MEDIAN / MOVE ON / RIGHT REVERSE BEND / COMPULSORY AHEAD ONLY
3段目: U-TURN PROHIBITED / LEFT HAND CURVE / PEDESTRIAN PROHIBITED / ROUNDABOUT / NO PARKING/STOPPING / STEEP ASCENT
4段目: CROSS ROAD / AXLE LOAD LIMIT / DANGEROUS DIP / SPEED LIMIT / NARROW BRIDGE / OVERTAKING PROHIBITED
5段目: ROAD JUNCTION APPROACH / PARKING SIGN / MAJOR ROAD AHEAD / POISON / RIGHT U-TURN

「GIVE WAY」(1番上の左から3番目)などは初めて見たが、日本と同じやつも多いね。似ているやつはみんな同じ意味でよかった。ある程度世界共通性があるのだろうか。

This is another pic taken in the driving school. Full of signs.
The original (bigger) photo can be downloaded here.

What signs say: (from top-left)

1st row: FLAMMABLE GAS / EXPLOSIVE / GIVE WAY / STOP / CORROSIVES / HARMFUL
2nd row: SPEED BRAKER / RESTRICTION END SIGN / GAP IN MEDIAN / MOVE ON / RIGHT REVERSE BEND / COMPULSORY AHEAD ONLY
3rd row: U-TURN PROHIBITED / LEFT HAND CURVE / PEDESTRIAN PROHIBITED / ROUNDABOUT / NO PARKING/STOPPING / STEEP ASCENT
4th row: CROSS ROAD / AXLE LOAD LIMIT / DANGEROUS DIP / SPEED LIMIT / NARROW BRIDGE / OVERTAKING PROHIBITED
5th row: ROAD JUNCTION APPROACH / PARKING SIGN / MAJOR ROAD AHEAD / POISON / RIGHT U-TURN

I've never seen the sign 'GIVE WAY' (the third one in the first row).
Some are similar to Japanese ones, with similar meaning.
Is there any world standard for traffic signs?
