カナダに語学研修に行ったリコさんからもらったもの。
信号機の周囲が黄色一色で、派手で明るい印象を与える。
支えの棒が細長いので、折れやしないかと心配だ。
These photos were given by Riko, who went to Canada to learn English.
I feel that all-yellow lights are gaudy and bright.
I'm afraid such a thin pole would break easily....

こちらは歩行者用信号機の写真。
「すすめ」（左）は人だが、「とまれ」（右）は手のマークなのが面白い。
でも、手のマークだけで「とまれ」だと分かるもんなのだろうか。「手を挙げて渡りなさい」と思う人は……いないよな。
These are the lights for pedestrians.
The sign of "WALK" (left) is the shape of a human while the sign of "STOP" (right) is a hand.
I wonder if everybody considers a hand as "STOP". Some might think, "the sign of the hand means 'walk with your hands up' ".
